Adding references to your profile

References

References are people who can vouch for your academic or professional abilities. Some employers contact them directly before extending an offer.

Types of references

  • Institutional references — professors, HODs, placement coordinators from your college.
  • Professional references — supervisors or mentors from previous internships or jobs.

How to add a reference

  1. Go to Profile → Edit Profile and scroll to References.
  2. Enter the person's name.
  3. Enter their designation (e.g., Associate Professor, Internship Supervisor).
  4. Enter their email address.
  5. Enter their mobile number.
  6. Click Add Reference and then Save Changes.

Important: Always ask for permission before listing someone as a reference. Listing a reference without consent is unprofessional and may damage your reputation.
